Introducing Rowcroft Hospice
For those unfamiliar with the extraordinary work they do, Rowcroft Hospice is an invaluable resource within our community. Established in 1982, Rowcroft provides comprehensive palliative and end-of-life care for over 2,000 people each year living with life-limiting illnesses across Torbay, Teignbridge, and the South Hams.
Their services encompass a broad spectrum of care, addressing medical, social, and spiritual needs. Available around the clock every day of the year, Rowcroft’s care is accessible and free of charge to those who need it most.
Rowcroft’s Diverse Range of Services
The care provided by Rowcroft takes place in various settings according to the needs and preferences of each patient. This includes providing care in the comfort of a patient’s own home, in residential settings like care homes, through their Outpatient Centre, and their 12-bed Inpatient Unit (IPU).
It’s important to note that around 85% of Rowcroft’s care is delivered within the community. Yet, the movement between their services is fluid, ensuring patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
