Senior HR Business Partner

My career began as an operations manager within a financial services firm in 2007. This gave me my first insight into the world of operational processes and procedures and the importance of setting a positive tone and culture within the workplace, to ensure everyone remained motivated, engaged, and valued within their roles. As the firm began an aggressive acquisition trail, I was selected by the Board to develop the firm’s group HR framework, to support the rapidly increasing headcount and diverse businesses acquired. This framework involved creating a robust suite of policies and procedures, aligning contracts, salaries, benefits, and role profiles. As my role grew along with the strategy of the business, I qualified with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I was promoted from the Head of HR to Group HR Director, managing a team of four with a headcount of around 170, based across six sites within the UK. Through the changing landscape of the business, I had to adapt and developed a pragmatic and confident leadership style.
